Welcome to the historic 80 year old and infamous lower east side "169 Bar"

(aka "Bloody Bucket") located on the edge of chinatown, no longer the

� denizen of a variety of gangs and thugs, The 169 Bar now plays host to a

� variety of musical styles of some of the best local and international

� talent, specializing in acoustic music of all genres; on any given night you

� might hear world, funk, r&b, folk, latin, jazz, bluegrass to name a few.

� Open from 4pm to 4am with happy hour everyday from 4pm to 7pm plus a special

� late night happy hour from 1am to 2am sunday to wednesday. Specials include

� the "Truckers BJ" (PBR and a shot) for $3!! and buy one get one for wine,

� well & beer. Also you must try the "infusions", banana rum, peach, pear,

� apple, orange, & lemon vodkas along with infusion mojitos and mint juleps.

� Classic bowling game, pool table, darts and a fish named "jeff" who thinks

� he's a puppy round out the fun. The new owner Charles Hanson, formerly from

� New Orleans has brought that city's laid back warm vibe to the LES and is a

� welcome addition to the neighborhood. Worth the short diversion off the

� beaten path.
